German Patent Attorney
European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney
Jochen Wächter gained extensive know-how in the fields of applied physics, electrical engineering, mechanics and software during his years at university. His practical experience results from extensive research in nuclear physics and all related aspects including calculating, monitoring and analyzing measurements of particles performed by detectors working on an optical or semiconductor basis. In this time, he also became familiar with practical problems in the areas of mechanics and data processing.
In addition to his longtime experience in German and European intellectual property matters, he also has gained a detailed insight in US patent prosecution and enforcement by working in a New York law firm for one year.
Jochen Wächter is admitted to practice before the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO), the German Patent Court, the European Patent Office (EPO), the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and – in patent nullity cases – before the German Supreme Court.
