Christine Hirschberger studied biological sciences at the University of Oxford, with a particular focus on evolutionary developmental biology. She advanced this knowledge by completing a PhD and a postdoctoral research position at the University of Cambridge, where she investigated cell differentiation and the evolution of new sensory organ types using the nervous system of fish as a model system.
In this context, she gained expertise in the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, embryology, and bioinformatics. Among other things, she specialized in the application of novel state-of-the-art technologies, including CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
Since 2025, Christine Hirschberger has been a patent attorney candidate in the biotechnology team of Kroher Strobel, focusing on immunology, pharmacy, bioinformatics, and biochemistry.
