Michael Flossmann studied electrical engin­eering at the University for Applied Sciences in Munich and received his diploma degree in 1995. During his studies he gained extensive practical experience in various areas of electrical engineering.

This included for example planning electronic installations for buildings and drafting electronic control systems for machines used to manu­facture high-precision components. He also used this opportunity to expand his knowledge of mechanics.

Michael has been practicing in the area of intellectual property rights since 2000, first as a patent engineer and then as a European Patent Attorney after passing his exam in 2010. The focus of his activity includes patent prosecution in the areas of electrical engineering and mechanics, starting with drafting the applica­tion, to processing office actions, and finally assisting in opposition and appeal proceedings.
